I am an inquiry based learner, which means I am an active learner who always uses inductive and deductive reasoning when trying to grasp new concepts and checking my understanding. I find this strategy particularly helpful in test prepping, especially for the "challenge problems" on a test. The types of reasoning mentioned above is very useful in solving theoretical problems through prior knowledge and logic, and it is the strategy I will be teaching to my students. My general lesson structure involves strengthening foundational knowledge before providing the practice problems (in varying difficulty) built upon the basics that were taught in class.
I also believe that learning should be fun... So if you are up for some useful and interesting mental gymnastics before an important test, I am the tutor for you.

Biography: Hello! A little about me, I took IB in high school and learned a lot in uni about many different learning and teaching styles. It's is a personalized journey and once you find your favorite way to study, you will do great! I study using practice questions and I love applying what I am learning by making my own. This is a great way to reinforce the material and skills you are learning and lock it in for use later (cumulative exams and upper years!)
As a tutor, I am very goal oriented and efficient; that's why during our sessions I will prioritize your needs by focusing on in-depth understanding of the material first, and then on long term retrieval. I am also very creative and friendly, so we will be working together to develop ways you can best practice and apply all the knowledge you have through practice questions, visual diagrams, and many more!
Feel free to reach out and say hi or ask any question you might have about uni. All the best and I look forward to hopefully working with you!
